"Nothing to eat?" A faint trace of disappointment showed in Yun Mengmeng's eyes.
She'd thought she might get to eat something tasty here, but her luck was terrible—the ingredients had run out.
"Not a single thing to eat?" Yun Mengmeng asked, still unwilling to give up.
The woman in the sky-blue dress thought over what was left in the kitchen, then answered seriously, "There's still a plate of Laba garlic."
"...Never mind, then. Have you eaten yet?"
The woman in the sky-blue dress blinked. "No. Why?"
"Then let's eat together!" Yun Mengmeng excitedly held up the paper bags in her hands. They were packed full, and she warmly invited the woman to join her.
Eating while walking was nowhere near as comfortable as sitting down to eat.
She'd originally planned to order a few dishes at the restaurant and then try some of the spirit foods in her paper bags. Now it seemed she'd have to make a small adjustment to her plans.
The woman in the sky-blue dress sensed no ill intent from Yun Mengmeng. Sharing a meal didn't seem like a problem, so she agreed. "Sure."
Yun Mengmeng opened the paper bags while the woman in the sky-blue dress went to the kitchen for bowls and chopsticks. Soon, a small table was piled high with paper bags.
"Try this meat flatbread. The Second-in-Command and I both thought it was delicious." Having someone to eat with swept away her earlier disappointment, and Yun Mengmeng was in high spirits.
The woman in the sky-blue dress cautiously took a small bite. She poured the gravy into a spoon, then ate the flatbread in small, elegant bites.
"It really is good."
Seeing her, Yun Mengmeng felt that her own table manners were a little rough. She followed suit, trying to eat with
