Two uninvited guests had arrived at a grand residence in the Demon City. The faces of the Phoenix Clan members had darkened until they looked ready to drip with water.

When the Demon City hosted other factions, it arranged for them to stay at inns. But the Great Xia, Buddhist Kingdom, Dragon Clan, and Phoenix Clan were given more luxurious lodgings in grand residences.

An elder of the Di Jiang Clan had come uninvited, once again trying to persuade the Phoenix Clan to surrender.

The Phoenix Clan also had an ancient powerhouse, who personally appeared to refuse him.

In a contest between figures of this caliber, even the Phoenix Clan's patriarch, Jiang Xi, could only stand by.

"Jiang Mingzi, they say a hero needs a worthy lord. Our ancient ancestor has graciously offered to accept you.
