Clang—clang—clang—
Nine bell tolls rang out. At the edge of the sky, auspicious clouds transformed into a hundred demons of every shape and form, each lifelike. The hundred demons represented the members of the Demon Race who had pledged allegiance to Ancient Emperor Dijiang.
The hundred demon-shaped clouds changed once more. They bowed reverently toward the Heavenly Altar, then turned back into white clouds, like snowflakes or mist, drifting down into the mortal world and scattering across the altar.
The Heavenly Altar became hazy and indistinct, like the mist from when chaos first parted. It could neither be seen clearly nor touched, mysterious beyond measure.
Music began to play. The flute notes drifted ethereally, the zither sounded unreal, and drums and zithers chimed in harmony. Peace and serenity filled the air, and countless humans and demons were immersed in the sweet music.
A mountain-like figure appeared with the music, swaying atop the Heavenly Altar and shrouded in endless mist. One could vaguely make out an ancient lifeform with six legs and four wings.
That ancient lifeform was crimson from head to toe, like the sun, standing out extraordinarily in the mist.
Boom—
The music changed, becoming impassioned and forceful, stirring the blood. Races with slightly weaker self-control were all influenced by it, wanting to follow the Dijiang Clan in expanding their territory and charging into battle.
The ancient lifeform danced atop the Heavenly Altar. Its movements were graceful and refined—the most orthodox ancient dance.
The ancient lifeform shook its four wings, whipping up wild winds, as if it were splitting open the heavens and earth at the dawn of chaos. It transformed into a sun atop the nine-tiered Heavenly Altar, shining brilliantly with radiance that filled the skies.
A half-immortal-level lifeform—the ancient supreme being, Zhu Tian.
