"Loki, your wicked deeds will eventually be punished," Thor's voice was filled with resolve and anger. "You'd better surrender obediently and come back to Asgard with me."
Loki gazed at Thor, a hint of disdain and mockery in his eyes. "Thor, you will never understand my ideals and goals. Your justice is merely an illusion, while I will be the ruler."
"Your rule will only bring chaos and destruction. I will stop you," Thor replied indifferently, Mjolnir in hand, ready to unleash the final blow.
Loki let out a cold laugh, suddenly breaking free from the wall. He moved with incredible speed, trying to evade Thor's attack. His movements were as agile as a leopard's, each dodge perfectly timed, causing Thor's attacks to miss.
Thor remained unhurried, chasing Loki's figure. Mjolnir swung, unleashing lightning-like power. His attacks were ferocious, immensely destructive, but Loki, with his nimble footwork, always managed to evade the fatal blow at the last moment.
Loki calmly analyzed Thor's moves, trying to find a way to counter him. His eyes flickered with cunning and intelligence. He knew he couldn't match Thor's strength head-on and had to rely on strategy and skill to win.
Suddenly, Loki swiftly unleashed a series of shifting illusions, confusing Thor's vision. His form flickered, sometimes feinting, sometimes dodging Thor's attacks, as if he had transformed into a phantom.
Though powerful, Thor found Loki's magic troublesome. His attacks sometimes hit empty air, and other times merely grazed Loki's sleeve. Loki's magic made him incredibly elusive, leaving Thor feeling helpless.
Loki seized the opportunity, lunging quickly at Thor and landing a heavy punch to his chest. Thor was sent flying by the blow, his body crashing into a distant wall, shaking the entire hall.
Loki gave Thor no chance to recover, swiftly pursuing him and unleashing a barrage of rapid attacks. His fists and feet rained down on Thor like a storm.
"Your attacks are just tickling me."
Thor's godly power erupted. He broke free from his predicament and retaliated against Loki's assault.
A surge of power, carrying the force of thunder, exploded forth, slowing Loki's movements for a second. In that instant...
Thor's fist, imbued with thunderous power, slammed into Loki. Loki was instantly sent flying, his body hitting the wall and creating a massive crater.
Both were battered and bruised, but their eyes burned with determination and fighting spirit. They prepared for the final battle, where only one would remain on the stage of combat.
Thor struggled to his feet, his body covered in wounds, but his eyes still gleamed with tenacious will. He gazed at Loki, who lay on the ground, his heart filled with complex emotions.
"Loki, we were once an invincible pair of brothers, sharing countless adventures and battles. But why did you choose this wrong path, betraying family and kin?" Thor's voice was tinged with sadness and questioning.
Loki slowly rose, his face cold and mocking. He recalled past times, remembering the rivalry and struggles with Thor.
"Thor, you've always been blinded by your own justice and power. You never understood that strength is what a true king pursues. The throne, to me, means endless power and dominion. I merely wish to make my enemies submit, to see them kneel and beg for their lives."
Thor listened to Loki's words, a flicker of sadness and disappointment in his eyes. He deeply understood the divergence between himself and Loki, their views on the throne being completely different.
"Loki, you crave war and conquest, but you fail to realize that war only brings suffering and destruction. I too was once consumed by the thrill of battle, but I have now learned the importance of peace and justice. I don't wish to conquer enemies; I only want to protect my people and bring them hope and safety."
Loki let out a cold laugh, his eyes revealing contempt and mockery. He utterly disagreed with Thor's beliefs, viewing them as weakness and foolishness.
"Thor, your foolishness and cowardice disappoint me. You are merely a naive warrior, lacking true insight and the vision of a ruler. I will show you my power and make you understand who the true king is."
Despite Loki's taunts, Thor did not lose his concern for his brother. He hoped Loki would put down his weapon and return to the right path. He was willing to plead with their father for Loki, seeking forgiveness and a chance to rejoin the family.
"Loki, I know you have lost yourself. But I still believe there is a sliver of conscience and kindness deep within you. I hope you can repent and let all this go. I will plead with Father and try to get you a chance to start anew."
Loki looked at Thor coldly, not believing his words. In his heart, only power and dominion held meaning.
"Thor, your fantasies will only lead to your downfall. Your sentimentality and mercy will only make you my victim. I don't need your pity; I only need your submission."
The two stood in confrontation, an aura of battle emanating from them. Their views on war, their pursuit of the throne, and their attitudes toward each other formed a stark opposition. In this desperate struggle, the two brothers would decide who would emerge victorious and who would fall into the abyss.
BOOM!
As the two confronted each other, their auras intensifying, a brilliant light erupted from the top floor of the Vanko Tech Building.
"Loki." Thor's imposing aura began to recede.
"Hah." Loki finally couldn't hold on, his legs buckling, and he collapsed to the ground.
The portal above the Vanko Tech Building had vanished, meaning Loki's plan had been thwarted. Thor immediately rushed to Loki's side, helping his brother up.
"Loki, are you alright?" Thor asked with concern.
Loki managed a weak smile, a hint of helplessness and exhaustion in his eyes.
"Thor, you always save me. Even though I betrayed you, you're still willing to lend me a hand. I appreciate your concern, but our paths have already diverged. I cannot change my goals and beliefs; I will continue to pursue power and dominion."
Thor nodded silently, knowing he couldn't change Loki's resolve. But he still hoped Loki would find a better path and not remain lost in darkness.
"Loki, though our choices differ, I hope you find your true purpose. If you ever need help, I will always be by your side. Now, our battle is over."
Loki looked at Thor silently, complex emotions flickering in his eyes.
"Thor, perhaps we are destined to be adversaries, but I still consider you my brother. Thank you for your tolerance and understanding. May our paths no longer cross, but may our brotherly bond endure forever."
CRACK! Thor clapped his hand, nearly making the rising Loki fall again.
"You bastard, take it easy," Loki gritted his teeth in pain.
Thor's dust-covered face broke into a hearty laugh. "You'd better come back with me and explain everything to Father. You need to honestly confess your dealings with the Chitauri and whether you've seen Thanos."
Loki gave a wry smile and shook his head, knowing he could no longer evade the questioning from Thor and their father, Odin.
The great battle was over.
Knowing that his younger brother had caused all the trouble, Thor dared not face the Avengers and instead went to Nathan Hawke.
"Wow. You guys look a little dirty," Nathan Hawke quipped, raising an eyebrow playfully.
"Nathan, I need your help," Thor said, a bit embarrassed.
Nathan Hawke made a gesture of bringing his hands up and then pressing them down. "I get it, I get it. You want me to clean up your mess, right?"
Thor responded with a silly chuckle, "Heh heh, heh heh."
"Alright, but every time you show up, you bring trouble with you," Nathan Hawke said, looking at him with mock exasperation.
"Okay, okay, then next time I visit, I'll bring you a bottle of fine Asgardian wine, alright?" Thor said, hands on his hips and puffing out his cheeks.
"Fine, we're friends after all," Nathan Hawke replied, glancing at Loki, who was obediently bound nearby, and nodding at him.
Loki returned the nod.
At that moment, Thor suddenly remembered something and said, "Right, one of the Infinity Stones is on the top floor of Vanko Tech. I hope you can help me get it and keep it safe. It's an incredibly powerful artifact."
Loki's expression changed abruptly. He had left his Scepter on the battlefield.
But in that very instant, Loki stopped caring. Whoever got it, got it. He was leaving anyway.
Nathan Hawke knew immediately that these two had lost the Scepter. As for the Space Stone, Wesker had already obtained it and was currently on his way back to Umbrella Corporation.
"Alright, I'll send people to get it immediately," Nathan Hawke replied.
The Bifrost took Thor and Loki away, and Nathan Hawke began preparing to handle his own affairs.
Resource allocation after the great battle, city reconstruction, media coverage, and new partners – he needed to invest more time and energy into handling the upcoming tasks.
Nathan Hawke summoned Wesker and John Walker, the two leaders of the alien technology harvesting team, to formulate a resource allocation plan. They needed to assess the collected alien technology, determine its uses and potential power, and then assign it to the appropriate departments for research and development.
Concurrently, Nathan Hawke also summoned Ryoma Sengoku and Dr. Keitz, who led the research team for Chitauri technology. They would focus on studying and understanding Chitauri technology, applying it to the Umbrella Corporation's missions and projects. Their research findings would provide the Umbrella Corporation with greater strategic advantages and technical support.
Furthermore, Nathan also had to manage the media's attention and coverage directed at the superheroes. He understood that the media's reporting and explanations of the great battle would significantly influence public perception.
"We've got a lot to keep us busy now."
