Gu Panyan was not the kind of person who lost interest after three minutes.
After morning self-study ended, she worked hard to listen in the next few classes.

"No need to guess. You definitely finished it," Wang Ge said confidently.
Gu Panyan raised an eyebrow. "You have that much faith in me?"
"No, I have faith in myself." Wang Ge spoke as if it were only natural. "With a teacher as amazing as me and such meticulous guidance, even a pig could finish memorizing it."
Gu Panyan's face darkened, and she jabbed him with her elbow in annoyance.
Wang Ge chuckled. He had originally wanted to tease her a little more, but after noticing that the English teacher's gaze kept drifting over to them, he could only give up and put on an expression of diligently memorizing the essay.
The five minutes passed quickly. The English teacher coughed. "All right, we'll start checking.
"Come on, Wang Ge. You go first."
Wang Ge stood up, having been prepared all along, and immediately recited a passage of extremely fluent English without a single flaw to pick at.
After Wang Ge finished reciting, the English teacher nodded. "Mm, very good. Sit down.
"Next, Gu Panyan."
The moment the students in the class heard that name, they instinctively turned around to look at the last row.

She had not actually memorized it so fluently. The time available for memorization had been far too short, and merely managing to finish it was already quite impressive.
The reason she had been able to do this was that whenever she got stuck and began recalling the next sentence, Wang Ge's voice from moments ago would ring in her mind. Every word was so clear that she only needed to repeat the voice in her head.
She had experienced the same thing when she tried memorizing it earlier. Whenever she forgot how to pronounce a word, Wang Ge's patient voice from morning self-study would ring in her mind. His voice was as gentle as flowing water, instantly bringing everything back to her.
"Very good, very good, very good indeed. You may sit down."
The English teacher said "very good" three times in a row, his face brimming with delight. "Gu Panyan, you've made tremendous progress. Although there are less than a hundred days left until the college entrance examination, if you can maintain this state, I dare say you'll score at least ninety in English! If you don't, come find me!"

The final class of the afternoon was self-study.

While doing the problems, Gu Panyan took an earbud from her pocket and put it in her ear.
After thinking for a moment, she took out the other earbud and handed it to Wang Ge. "Want to listen to some music?"
"Sure."
Wang Ge took the earbud and put it on. Gentle music began playing beside his ear.
What surprised him was that it was actually an English song.

The process of changing the book title seems to have run into a bug. The editor has gone to ask the technical department about it, but there hasn't been any news for now. It might take another couple of days before the title can be changed.
