Like A Dead Wife

She leaned against the school wall, tilting her head back to gaze at the sky.

The sky was vast and empty, devoid of twinkling stars, with only a solitary, proud moon hanging high in the heavens.

It was as desolate as her heart.

In the lonely moonlight, Gu Panyan lowered her eyes.

It would be great if I had a cigarette right now, she thought.

She didn't actually like smoking.

A long time ago, she had bought a pack, smoked one cigarette, and then thrown the rest into a drawer. She only occasionally took one out to smoke when she remembered.

"Got it."

"I got tricked by a scumbag, of course I'm in a bad mood," Gu Panyan said.

"Which scumbag is tired of living, daring to trick you?" Wang Ge asked, feigning surprise.

"Yeah, I'm curious too."

Gu Panyan smiled. "Just which scumbag is so bold, knowing what I've done in the past, that they dare to trick me?"

"That's right, that's right, such a scumbag truly deserves to die!"

Wang Ge nodded in agreement. "Unlike me, my heart is only for you, Panyan."

"Is that so?"

"Of course!"

"Heh." Gu Panyan gave a cold laugh.

Seeing that Gu Panyan had fallen silent, Wang Ge called out to her again, "Panyan~"

"I don't really feel like talking to you right now. If you annoy me again, I might just throw you off the bike."

Wang Ge immediately shut up.

What was going on?

It was one thing for Chen Yanxi to know she'd been reported, but how did Gu Panyan find out too?

Gu Panyan stared at him for a while, then suddenly leaned in with a cold laugh. "Fine, you said it yourself."

Wang Ge wasn't intimidated at all. He leaned in accordingly and hugged her tightly.

Gu Panyan's movements paused involuntarily.

"You don't really think I wouldn't beat you, do you?"

She said softly, then grabbed Wang Ge's arm, twisted her waist, turned, and exerted force, executing a shoulder throw.

With a "bang," Wang Ge was thrown to the ground.

"Ouch..."

Wang Ge lay on the ground, moaning, "You could have at least let me hug you for two more seconds."

Gu Panyan glanced at him, seemingly too lazy to bother, and walked towards the apartment.

"Wait for me, wait for me!"

Wang Ge stubbornly got up from the ground and followed behind Gu Panyan.
