Qingyuan sat calmly beside the tea table, quietly sipping tea and occasionally chatting with Daoist Jieyin.
Yet Daoist Jieyin had long since become a bundle of nerves.
He no longer knew what to say.
Sometimes, when Qingyuan spoke with him, his replies were muddled and completely off the mark.
And Jieyin could not be blamed for that.
The main reason was that the tea leaves they were drinking were none other than Bodhi Leaves!!
These were not Bodhi Leaves acquired elsewhere, but the very Bodhi Leaves that the Two Sages of the West had once gifted Qingyuan!
Now, he had come to Qingyuan for help over matters concerning the Western Teachings.
He wanted to beg Qingyuan to help them resolve the troubles of the Western Teachings, as well as the matter of Demon Ancestor Luohu.
To begin with, it was not a particularly reasonable request.
And now Qingyuan had put on this sort of display. Who knew how he intended to handle things afterward?
Qingyuan, however, seemed not to notice anything amiss in the atmosphere. As he drank his tea, he occasionally laughed heartily and reminisced with Daoist Jieyin about their eventful Years. Whenever they recalled certain difficult times, they could not help but sigh with nostalgia.

Some of those hardships had been caused by the Western Teachings.
Some had even been crises personally created by the Two Sages of the West when they took action against their juniors!
Back then, in order to develop the West, they had schemed extensively throughout the East, searching everywhere for gifted talents. They had even once wanted to convert Qingyuan into the Western Teachings and make him one of their members!!!
