Background
Ancient era
The Chaos Sacred Sect was founded by the Chaos Supreme, an ancient Supreme who mastered the Great Dao of Chaos and was regarded as the most powerful Supreme in the Divine Realm. At its height, the sect’s name alone compelled submission from other races, gods, and demons. 673 1165
The sect’s fall began after the Chaos Supreme perished following an ancient cataclysm. Another account states that he was ambushed in the Chaos Sea by the Ten Great Supremes and died together with them. With its founder and many high-level experts lost, hostile forces divided its inheritance, destroyed its mountain gate, and attempted to erase the Chaos Sacred Sect from history. 703 1165
Despite this destruction, the sect’s prestige endured. The Nine Swords Supreme—who had once benefited from the Chaos Supreme—declared that while he would not stop its suppression, he would personally destroy any force that tried to annihilate the sect completely. 734
Decline in the Azure Sky Domain
By the time Yang Lingtian began searching for it, the Chaos Sacred Sect had been suppressed for ages and had become a weakened regional power in the Azure Sky Domain. Its spiritual meridians had been excavated, leaving the mountain gate with thin spiritual energy and barren land. 703
The sect nevertheless continued recruiting disciples, as cultivators below the Divine Realm still regarded it as a valuable cultivation sanctuary. Its weakened reputation also made it a target for humiliation; Dragon Soul Sect Elder Qinghuo openly attempted to steal a newly recruited Nine-Star Talent disciple, calling the sect incapable of nurturing geniuses. 703 705
Yang Lingtian’s succession
Palace Mistress Tianyue identified the Chaos Bead in Yang Lingtian’s possession and recognized him as the successor of the Chaos Sacred Sect. The Chaos Bead’s Artifact Spirit later confirmed that Yang Lingtian had inherited Chaos Sacred Sect techniques and Martial Skills, while warning him that the sect had many old enemies. 672 687
Yang Lingtian located the sect through high-tier intelligence, joined it as an elder after Yue Xuanzhi recognized him as a disciple of Old Ancestor Xiao Yun, and later assumed the position of Sect Master. 703 709 733
Leadership
- Yang Lingtian — Current Sect Master; successor recognized by the Chaos Bead and the driving force behind the sect’s revival. 672 733

Infrastructure & Resources
- God-tier Spirit Gathering Formation — Established by Yang Lingtian with ten low-grade Divine Artifacts as formation cores. It drew spiritual energy from tens of millions of miles away, restored barren vegetation, and increased disciples’ cultivation speed by more than tenfold. 711
- Spirit Gathering Divine Hall — A high-grade Divine Artifact concealed in the ancestral land. Once activated, it continuously gathered pure spiritual energy and surpassed the previous Spirit Gathering Formation’s effects. 813 815
- Core Treasure Vault — Contains legacies in cultivation techniques, Martial Skills, pill recipes, and artifact-refining knowledge, including top-grade Divine-tier inheritances. 716
- Chaos Bead cultivation space — Under Yang Lingtian’s control, the sect repeatedly entered its internal Chaos Space for collective seclusion, time acceleration, resource distribution, and comprehension of the Three Thousand Great Daos. 731 766 1027
- Chaos Grand Formation — The sect’s later Mountain Protecting Array, personally established by Yang Lingtian. It envelops the mountain gate in chaotic light and isolates the sect from outside pressure. 1132 1133
- Ancestral meridian — Dormant for tens of millions of years before reviving and releasing dense Origin of Chaos energy, strengthening the entire sect and producing spiritual rain. 1208
