Kevin and Melusina activated an ancient ruin that exiled them to the Dark Continent, while their family and allies searched for a way to help. They survived deadly creatures and a mechanical attacker, then encountered a construct that seemed to want to trade.

• Kevin found that his A-Rank potion let him strengthen or weaken Resentment, while Kurapika and Pairo left Greed Island and trained at Sky Arena.
• After Kurapika and Pairo returned, Kevin defeated Hisoka, then traveled with Melusina to a remote ruin where a stone pillar transported them to an unfamiliar forest.
• Kevin and Melusina suspected they were on the Dark Continent, struggled to find food and water, and learned that dangerous creatures and parasites threatened their survival.
• At Nosra Manor, Pairo and the others investigated the ruins, and Men Qi, Biscuit, and Jin concluded that Kevin and Melusina had been exiled to the Dark Continent.
• Kevin and Melusina survived a giant bird, a poisonous insect, a Sand Worm, and a hyena pack as they crossed the wilderness and avoided a distant tower.
• A floating mechanical creature attacked and injured Kevin, but he destroyed it, and he and Melusina later concluded that the nearby High Tower’s machines kept dangerous animals away.
• Kevin and Melusina fought off a Tyrannosaurus Rex, watched a Pterosaur carry it away, and encountered a mechanical construct that appeared to want to trade.

Kevin and Melusina survived the Dark Continent, explored the Resentful Eater Snake nest, and developed potions and abilities while preparing to return home. As they left by sea, Kurapika and the others prepared for their arrival, and a shadow burst from a massive whirlpool onto the beach.

• Kevin traded the Sharp Gear to a Machine Lifeform for a thought-controlled chip that identified Melusina as human with a Resentful Eater Snake mixed into her Aura.
• Kevin and Melusina were caught in Reverse Rain, then followed a Giant Snake to its nest, where Kevin learned that the snakes developed from Aura infants into physical forms and eventually returned to powerful Aura forms.
• Kevin and Melusina explored the Rain Curtain, gathered materials, and developed potions that greatly increased Kevin’s Nen capacity and helped Melusina absorb ambient Aura.
• Kevin used a Quick Thinker Potion to gather material during Fast Rain, fought the Silver Mantis, and later crafted an A-Rank Time Potion that let him control time within a small sphere.
• Jin explained to Kurapika and the others that Dark Continent expeditions risked bringing disasters home, and planned with Biscuit to prepare for Kevin’s return.
• Kevin and Melusina left the Snake Nest with their Flower Buds and traveled to the coast, where a gigantic sea creature swallowed Liang Er and their Bone Ship.
• Kurapika, Biscuit, Jin, and Morel prepared a secret reception as a storm gathered, then watched a massive whirlpool open and a shadow shoot onto the beach.

Kevin returned from the Dark Continent, reunited with his companions, and took on new commissions while planning an expedition team and a way to awaken Nen in suitable recruits. He agreed to help organize the next Hunter Exam, leaving Melusina, Kurapika, Pairo, and Shalnark preparing to take it.

• Kevin and Melusina returned to Nameless Island, where the Resentful Eater Snake emerged from Xiao Hong’s Nen Aura and Kevin drew its attention with his Resentment.
• Kevin reunited with the Nosra Manor residents, learned that the Phantom Troupe had stolen the latest batch of medicine, and proposed cooperating with Jin to gain access to his route to the Dark Continent.
• Kevin sparred with Biscuit and defeated her, then accepted custom potion commissions from Qiduo and Koto and developed an antidote for Qiduo’s patient.
• Five armed invaders attacked the hospital where Qiduo was treating her patient, and Kevin wounded Echo before Kansai and the other defenders subdued the attackers.
• Kevin visited the Zoldyck Family with Melusina and Pairo, agreed to Silva’s commission concerning Kiy, and made a Sedimentation Potion after discovering Illumi’s Nen needle in Kiy’s brain.
• Kevin returned to Nosra Manor and proposed building a Dark Continent expedition team, then showed Biscuit a potion that could awaken Nen in ordinary people and explained that he would use it to train suitable recruits.
• Men Qi suggested Kevin become an examiner for the next Hunter Exam, and Kevin left Nosra Manor to prepare while Melusina, Kurapika, Pairo, and Shalnark decided to take the exam.

Kevin examined the 287th Hunter Exam, helped new Hunters develop Nen, and prepared an assault on the Phantom Troupe. The arc left him confronting the Troupe at its Yorknew gathering, with Uvogin bound in his Aura.

• Kevin joined the examiners for the 287th Hunter Exam and chose to test the candidates’ nerve and caution in a dangerous labyrinth.
• Kurapika, Gon, Kiy, and the other applicants endured the exam’s cooking, tower, and labyrinth stages, and thirteen candidates passed the final test.
• The final matches left Pons as the only candidate eliminated, while Gon, Kiy, Kurapika, Leorio, and the others earned their Hunter Licenses.
• Gon showed Kevin Jin’s two-star Hunter License and resolved to find his father, while Hisoka pointed Kevin toward September 1st in Yorknew City.
