Background

Zhang Ming is the eldest son of the Zhang Family of Yang City and a transmigrator who awakened memories of his previous life while still in the womb. He learned to read at three, recite texts at four, and write poetry at five, earning a local reputation as a child prodigy and “Reincarnated Immortal.” 1

As he learned that the world contained demons, martial sects, and ancient extraordinary traditions, Zhang Ming abandoned his early intention of using modern knowledge openly and adopted a more cautious approach. He expanded the Zhang Family’s inherited shops, sponsored impoverished scholars for over a decade, and helped turn the family into the influential “Zhang Half-City.” 1
