Life, Death, and Souls (Part 3)

"You can sense things so clearly?" A hint of surprise flashed in Steve's eyes. After gesturing for the surrounding agents to leave, he led Robet towards Bucky and asked in a low voice.

"Hmm, I've met a few guys similar to you, but their aura is much stronger than yours..." Robet and chuckled softly, "Oh, right! There was one guy who had a shield that looked a lot like yours, but I snatched it and gave it to Uncle Jackie."

"Huh? That's really good news. When he used my shield before, I felt he had a good talent in that area, but I didn't expect him to get a shield too..." Upon hearing Robet's words, Steve instantly understood that Robet had encountered Super Soldier, or even the Inheritors to his former title, but Steve didn't care too much.

From the moment Steve successfully parachuted from the plane and went into hiding, Steve was no longer the Captain America he once was. If someone could truly inherit that title, it might not be a bad thing.

"Indeed, Uncle Jackie is quite talented with weapons." Robet nodded in agreement, walked over to Bucky, and carefully examined Bucky.

Bucky's aura was extremely chaotic at this moment, as if two different commands within him were controlling different energies that were colliding. However, these energies dared not truly clash to the death, because if they were to perish together, everything would be over...

"Can you awaken him?" Robet raised an eyebrow, looking at Steve and asking, "I mean, awaken his original consciousness, so I can see what he was originally like..."

"I can try..." Steve nodded, first waking up the brainwashed Bucky. "Those monsters?" Steve's expression hardened upon hearing this, recalling the Animal Warriors he had fought earlier. "Are they part of the same faction as the people controlling Bucky?"

"Yes, they're probably all Hydra agents." Robet nodded, speaking casually, "I've dealt with them several times already..."

"What?! Hydra?!" Steve, who had been calm all along, suddenly changed his expression. After all, he was Hydra's old rival. Hydra was defeated by Steve back then, and Red Skull was also defeated by Steve.

Most importantly, after Steve successfully parachuted, he specifically instructed Peggy Carter Peggy Carter to handle the aftermath of Hydra's activities well, and Peggy Carter Peggy Carter a great job, leaving none of the Hydra fanatics alive!

Therefore, in Steve's view, Hydra should have completely disappeared with his silence. But now he's heard news of Hydra from Robet, Robet has even dealt with Hydra several times. Even Bucky's current miserable state seems to be the work of Hydra...

These thoughts flashed through Steve's mind, and Steve spirits instantly soared. He felt invigorated, as if he had returned to the years when he fought hard, and even looked a few years younger.

"Huh?" Robet glanced at Steve beside him with some surprise, then said with a smile, "Looks like your heart has become young again. But, you should deal with things here first. They're still a bit far away. I'll restore your good friend first, lest he get injured while he's immobile!"

"Suddenly having a new goal is bound to get our spirits up!" Steve shook his head, looking at Robet expectantly, and asked, "Do you have a way to restore Bucky to health? How long will it take?"

"It won't be long, very soon!" Robet waved his hand, releasing his aura and enveloping Bucky's body, while chanting incantations, seemingly about some kind of demon. Fortunately, Robet didn't need to perform any strange actions.

With a "whoosh!", as Robet's aura began to change, Bucky's soul was expelled from his body. Moreover, Robet could see that there was not just one Bucky soul that flew out; a somewhat bewildered soul and a soul that looked full of ferocity were staring at each other.

Although the principles of the soul are not entirely clear, it seems that Robet has portrayed each personality, or consciousness, as a soul.

"Roar!" The ferocious Winter Soldier's spirit was the first to regain his senses, and he roared as he charged toward Bucky's spirit.

With a "whoosh!" sound, Robet's energy continued to sweep towards the Winter Soldier's soul, directly obliterating it. The transformed Ki Magic was still very effective against these soul entities, at least preventing the Ki Blast from missing its target.

With a "whoosh," after dealing with the Winter Soldier's soul, Robet's energy surged once more. To Bucky's somewhat terrified state, Bucky's soul returned to his body, then gasped for fresh air like someone who had just been rescued from drowning.

"Huff! Huff! Huff!" A flicker of fear and confusion crossed Bucky's eyes. He saw Robet in front of him and Steve, who was holding the shield again. He asked incredulously, "Wait, I'm not dead?"
