Mutual Destruction and Deception

"Who's there?!" Nick Fury's expression darkened. He looked toward the source of the voice while reaching to his waist, where he kept his custom-made weapon. Even after returning to his own secret base, Nick Fury had no intention of letting down his guard.

Nick Fury was not even shocked that someone had appeared inside his secret base, because in a world where extraordinary powers were gradually revealing themselves, even a bank vault might vanish into thin air—let alone his secret base.

And the moment that voice sounded, Nick Fury realized he had definitely been targeted. Whether it was others coveting his position or the Avengers, they all fell within Nick Fury's range of suspicion!

"Heh heh, don't be so tense. Aren't I just you?" As Nick Fury stared at the source of the voice, a figure appeared in his line of sight. This person looked exactly like Nick Fury, and also exactly like the bionic man behind the wall.

"My bionic man got out?" Nick Fury's first reaction was that something had happened to his bionic man, but he quickly realized something was wrong. The bionic man was not a clone; it could not even be considered a pure life-form. It could only be controlled by Nick Fury himself, and it was impossible for it to possess self-awareness.

Therefore, Nick Fury quickly pushed that thought aside. As he watched the other him slowly walk toward him, an image instantly flashed through Nick Fury's mind. His body retreated two steps, and he looked warily at the other him as he said, "You're a Skrull?!"

"Not bad. You actually guessed it..." Hearing Nick Fury's words, the Skrull could not help laughing. He stood where he was, glanced at Nick Fury's right hand, and nodded, admitting his identity.
