"Welcome to the Avengers." When Hal and Wade entered an area filled entirely with high-tech buildings, the one who spoke was an old gentleman. His old-fashioned suit looked somewhat out of place in this building brimming with futuristic technology.
The person greeting them was none other than Guardian. After joining the Avengers, Guardian was certainly busier than before, but for a Guardian who had once made mistakes, being able to prove his worth in this way was still very valuable to him.
So although Jarvis was the Avengers' true butler, while Guardian could only be considered a gatekeeper and security guard, Guardian still dressed himself up in high spirits, presenting his best appearance to welcome and see off the Avengers.
"Hello." Hal responded instinctively. Beside him, Wade looked at Guardian with some confusion and surprise, because he had discovered that the Portal had been opened by Guardian, yet Wade had no idea who Guardian actually was.
Although Wade's ability allowed him to know many things beyond dimensions, even the true meaning of Robet's Saiyan identity, that was because, to a certain extent, the title of Super Saiyan was famous enough.
But Guardian was nowhere near as famous as Saiyans. At least in Wade's understanding, there was absolutely no information about Guardian, so when he discovered that Guardian could open Portals, Wade had already started thinking about mutants and became excited.
After all, there were quite a few mutants who could open Portals, and Wade could not recognize every mutant's identity. Besides, Wade did not have any device or ability to detect mutants either, so Wade mistook Guardian's identity and became enthusiastic toward him.
