"Don't tell me that after we killed Parallax's minion, he got scared and ran off—only to run straight to Oa?"
The other Avengers all looked over when they heard that. Robet spread his hands and said with a smile, "No, he hasn't reached Oa yet, but he's almost there. I imagine the so-called Green Lantern Corps will have some warning, right? After all, didn't they notice before that Parallax was heading to Earth?"
As Robet's words fell, the Avengers all burst out laughing. Wasn't this a kind of retribution? Before, the Green Lantern Corps had been prepared to sacrifice Earth to buy time, giving themselves a chance to master even stronger energy. Though they had not succeeded, in a sense, all the planets Parallax devoured along the way should be counted against the Green Lantern Corps, because the Green Lantern Corps truly was the source of the sin that created Parallax.
