Just after recruiting Alex, one end of the walkie-talkie brought Meng Yi another 'surprise'.

The voice from the walkie-talkie carried not only 'surprise', but also the roar of gunfire, the howls of Super Soldiers, and the screams of monsters.

Meng Yi frowned slightly. The distance was too great, and his condition hadn't fully recovered.

The Silver-Haired Girl snapped a crisp Blackwatch salute, her face serious. "No problem! I'll get it done!"

But then he saw the cracked patterns on the Silver-Haired Girl's skin blaze with dazzling light. Azure-green high-temperature flames coiled around her body, forming a pair of fiery wings on her back.

Following the directions from the communication device, the Silver-Haired Girl locked onto her target. Her flame wings gave a powerful beat, and the aura around her melted the apartment's reinforced concrete walls into glowing red fluid. The girl in her combat suit soared into the sky.

Rings of Mach Rings burst behind her in succession as she broke the sound barrier, shattering every pane of glass in the surrounding skyscrapers.

Whether it was the Infected catalyzed by the Red Light Mother's revival or the Blackwatch soldiers fighting them, all were pinned to the ground by the overwhelming wind pressure, unable to move.

'Brother A'—no, 'Little A' snapped out of it and smacked his lips.

"Oh. My. God! Is she even human? Who's the real monster here?"

Meng Yi rubbed his stiff cheeks and boasted, "See that? That's my handiwork! And the future of the new humanity!"

Hearing this, Alex was awestruck, looking at Meng Yi as if he were a god descending from myth.

"Boss, you're the real deal! I, Alex, am convinced!"

Meng Yi waved his hand modestly, shamelessly gilding the lily.

"A small matter, hardly worth mentioning."

Though he had some estimate of the Silver-Haired Girl's combat power, seeing it unfold before his eyes still stunned Meng Yi for a moment. He could only chalk it up to 'a dying camel is still bigger than a horse'.

The Azure Flame Beam flew at supersonic speed, its searing heat distorting the air around it.

Like an unstoppable spear hurled by a giant, or a Sword of Damocles descending from the heavens.

It finally pierced through the outer shell of the Gentek Building several kilometers away, pinning the chaotic, twisted mass of flesh firmly to the ground.

As the dust cleared, the Red Light Mother's human form was gone, replaced by a grotesque, ten-meter-tall tentacle monster built from heaps of gore. Most of its proliferating appendages had been burned away by the Silver-Haired Girl, leaving it in a pitiful state.

"So you're the enemy? You ugly, wicked thing!"

"Roar—!"

In response came a shriek of pure fury.

Driven by survival instinct, the Red Light Mother, already driven mad by the relentless mental shocks, launched a desperate counterattack. The crippled tentacle monster rapidly sprouted a dense array of bone-like leg structures beneath it.

The sanity-draining monster's leg bones strained to the breaking point as it leaped high, its gaping maw opening wide as if to swallow, chew, digest, and absorb the Silver-Haired Girl!

'Command: Flash Combustion Propulsion!'

The girl clenched her small fist, flames gathering at her knuckles. Her wings beat behind her as she met the enemy's assault head-on from below.

"Boom—!!"

Walking on fire, the Silver-Haired Girl punched through one of the Red Light Mother's head-like structures. The azure flames, like Maggots attached to the bone, spread relentlessly.

Without sufficient 'nourishment,' this fight was unwinnable from the start.

The Red Light Mother chose to cut tail to survive, actively shedding the outer flesh ignited by flames, and leaped out of the twisted mass of flesh with a more agile new body, bolting madly out of the Gentek Building.

One exchange was enough for the Red Light Mother to understand that it could only fight a war of attrition against its enemy by devouring more flesh and blood; otherwise, it would be crushingly defeated with ease.

"Trying to run? You're not getting away!"

Firefly's pale hand gripped one of the Exoskeleton Horns of the five-meter-tall, hideous monster. Her slender arm muscles exerted a slight force, pinning the monster to the ground, immobile.

One punch!

The Red Light Mother struggled and resisted.

Two punches!

The Red Light Mother tried to pull the same trick again.

Three punches!

The Red Light Mother was barely breathing, with more air leaving than entering, beaten into unconsciousness by Firefly.

This was no evenly matched battle; it was an absolute, one-sided slaughter.

Not long after, Meng Yi, Alex, General Randall, and the others arrived at the scene.

The interior structure of the Gentek Building, after the recent monster-level clash, had been reduced to a wrecked mess, with only a few load-bearing pillars still holding on.

Fortunately, hours earlier, due to Meng Yi's orders, the ordinary people of Gentek Corporation had been forcibly evacuated, leaving only the Super Soldiers to guard the Red Light Mother, which prevented heavy casualties.

One by one, the dust-covered Super Soldiers crawled out from the rubble, all shaken to their core by Firefly's astonishing combat prowess.

"Reporting, Commander! Mission complete! Please inspect!"

Firefly dispersed the high-temperature flames, hopping lightly off the Red Light Mother's body. Before leaving, as if disgusted by how repulsive her opponent was, she kicked it twice more.

The material of her combat suit was unknown, but it remained completely intact even now.
