Background

Firefly was created as AR-26710, a mass-produced genetically modified soldier of the Glamoth Empire and pilot of Firefly IV Strategic Assault Armor. She survived the Fecund Fall, the collapse of Glamoth, and the breach of the Celestial Front. Acheron later invited her into the Stellaron Hunters, where Firefly sought the meaning of her existence. 9

Her body was burdened by Entropy Loss Syndrome, a modification that converts life force into combat power while progressively destroying her cells. The condition caused chronic pain, burning, physical deterioration, and a severely limited lifespan. Firefly initially regarded herself as little more than a standard weapon and feared that abandoning the syndrome would leave nothing of Glamoth behind. 32 33

During Meng Yi's Prototype-world mission, Firefly demonstrated overwhelming force by defeating the Red Light Mother in a one-sided battle. Meng Yi subsequently repaired her damaged body, replenished her vitality, and installed a limiter to prevent uncontrolled life-burning from destroying her again. 25 33 34
