If Shilke's mornings, or even his entire mornings, were basically spent training, then his afternoons were spent drinking tea and chatting with the Elf King and the rest of the elven royal family.

The tea had been brought by him from Great Zhou.

The Elf race had always been accustomed to brewing fruit wine with morning dew and making fruit drinks, but both beverages were primarily sweet or sweet-and-sour.

The tea Shilke had brought, however, had an entirely different flavor. It could also refresh the mind and clear the senses, and the Elf King had taken an especial liking to it.

With that in mind, there was also a large pot beside them, water boiling inside, with a tall stack of steamers piled atop it.

Needless to say, how could anyone drink tea without tea snacks?

These had been freshly prepared that morning at the cafeteria in the new district at Shilke's request, then delivered here.

The Elf race's food appeared abundant, but was actually very simple. It mainly consisted of freshly picked fruits and vegetables, paired with some boiled or roasted meat.

After one bite, even the usually calm and unruffled Elf King involuntarily widened his eyes. After swallowing, he even lowered his head and stared at the porcelain bowl in his hand in disbelief.

"Child, what is this? How can it be so delicious?"

Shilke had clearly anticipated this reaction, and merely smiled.

"The food you just ate is called Siu Mai. It's made primarily with pork."
