Once they arrived, Zhou Xu followed Qin Fen's indication and turned his gaze toward the Ripper mecha parked at the edge of the testing grounds.
His gaze swept over the Ripper mecha. At first glance, Zhou Xu could not really tell what was different about it from the previous one.
That was until Qin Fen told him that this was the new mecha built by their project team.
After hearing that, Zhou Xu took a closer look and realized that it really was.
Last time, because they had modified and adjusted an existing goblin mecha, the entire machine had carried the obvious feeling of being patched together and cobbled from here and there.
It looked like a junker assembled from scrap-car parts at a shady auto-repair shop...
Although this mecha was also covered in dust and mud from testing, it did not have that same feeling. It was equipment newly built from scratch.
Qin Fen, who had been standing to the side, could not help feeling moved.
After the previous test unit had accidentally been scrapped, they had come up with quite a few more ideas while building a new improved Ripper mecha from the ground up, and had optimized and adjusted it accordingly.
From that perspective, the disaster had turned out to be a blessing in disguise.
Otherwise, if they had begun production directly, then after the first batch of Ripper mechas entered military training, they would have discovered these problems during training and then had to make further adjustments and upgrades.
The losses from all that back-and-forth would have been enormous.
After all, every adjustment and upgrade often meant that the production line had to be adjusted and upgraded as well.
As always, a dwarf driver operated the Ripper mecha during the test.
