Background / History
Zhou Xu was originally named Zhou Hongxu. His parents later changed his name to Zhou Xu because the original given name was difficult to write. Before transmigrating, he knew Xie Liancheng as a childhood friend; the two bonded through martial-arts films and martial-arts classes, where they repeatedly practiced choreographed routines together. 299 658 659
After arriving in the new world, Zhou Xu became the leader of a struggling tribe. He discovered the Evolutionary Leader Talent and learned to use the True Word Eye of Insight, allowing him to inspect the attribute panels of other people and make appointments based on their potential. 8
He gradually expanded his tribe into Great Zhou, developing its camps, farming, military equipment, transport, administration, and alliances. He later became Great King, then accepted the title of Emperor after conquering Xianyang and consolidating his rule. 426 699 765
As Great Zhou grew, Zhou Xu increasingly delegated routine administration to trusted officials such as Huo Qubing and Li Bowen, while personally directing long-term strategy, True Word research, military modernization, infrastructure, and diplomacy. 771 1136 1448
Personality
Zhou Xu is practical, analytical, and strongly oriented toward results. He prefers testing ideas in practice over relying on theoretical knowledge alone; this approach guides his decisions on armor, weapons, transport, and industrial projects. 174 443
He is a cautious strategist who avoids battles that lack a favorable outcome or clear benefit. He is willing to delay action, isolate enemies, or allow hostile powers to exhaust themselves before committing Great Zhou’s forces. 714 747 754
Despite his authority, Zhou Xu generally treats capable subordinates with respect and considers their circumstances when assigning roles. His manner contrasts with more overbearing rulers, helping him earn goodwill and loyalty. 63 114 770
He is also notably work-driven. Even when taking time off, he often returns to official duties early, clears document backlogs personally, and struggles to separate state affairs from his private life. 970 1046 1806

- He defeated Ohm by opening with Lightning Attack and following with Flame Dance after Ohm’s True Qi shield endured the first strike. 1103
- He recognizes Lightning Attack’s short range as a weakness against enemies with ranged True Qi attacks. 1639
- His attacks can impose significant True Word power costs, requiring careful resource management. 829 1301
Soul Body and Soul Possession
Upon reaching the Out-of-Body Realm, Zhou Xu formed a semi-transparent Soul Body inside his Spirit Space. 1339
- The Soul Body can absorb True Word power to become more solid. 1339
- It can cast True Word Spells independently, extending Zhou Xu’s reach while keeping his physical body safer. 1339
- Its operating range expands alongside his cultivation, though it cannot reach arbitrary distances. 1644
- Fully solidifying the Soul Body would require an estimated ten to twenty years, leading Zhou Xu to prioritize True Word research instead. 1423
Martial Arts and Tai Chi Quan
Zhou Xu practices Tai Chi Quan for physical cultivation and has developed a deep understanding of its principles. 771 1461
- He teaches Tai Chi to Huo Qubing and later practices it with Huo Qubing and Li Bowen. 771 829
