Claw's death basically heralded the complete defeat of the Claw Clan. It would probably take some time to completely wipe out the remaining Ratmen fleeing in all directions, but in reality, that was no longer important.
After the battle, in the frontline camp, Tash told Li Ce and Soros about his mount.
From the way he put it, he seemed to want to change mounts.
Soros could more or less understand Tash's thoughts. Essentially, this wasn't really a question of whether that velociraptor had saved his life.
The most important thing between a mount and its rider was their tacit understanding: they had to understand each other's thoughts and get along in temperament.
Otherwise, on the battlefield, if you wanted to charge forward while it wanted to flee backward, how could you possibly cooperate? One careless move, and you'd both end up holding each other back.
Not to mention, they couldn't actually be sure whether that velociraptor was simply timid.
Li Ce, however, had a different view.
