Everything Went Without a Word

After taking his leave of Zhou Xu, White Butcher hurried back to his camp and gathered all the soldiers to announce the news.

In an instant, all the soldiers burst into cheers. The commotion drew frequent glances from the Great Zhou Soldiers in the neighboring camp, who were maintaining their equipment. They were rather curious about what had happened over there and what had gotten those guys so worked up.

As the people involved, however, they paid it no mind and continued cheering loudly, venting the irrepressible joy in their hearts.

To them, this matter was about far more than simply upgrading their weapons and equipment. More importantly, it represented recognition!

Before this, they had come from Wei, yet they were in Great Zhou's military camp wearing the equipment of Huaxia soldiers. What was that supposed to make them?

During the previous battle to defend the city, they had even needed to tie white cloth around their arms to distinguish themselves, lest they be accidentally struck by allied forces.

But things were different now. Once this batch of equipment was handed out and they donned those scale armors, no words would be needed. At a glance, anyone would know that they were Great Zhou Soldiers!

After the burst of cheers, White Butcher hurriedly organized the soldiers under his command and took them to the Armaments Depot to collect their equipment.

This could, at any rate, be considered an important matter, and Shi Lei was personally in charge of it.

Once all the soldiers led by White Butcher had gathered, Shi Lei waved his hand.

"Everyone, come closer. Those in front, sit on the ground; those in back, stand. Make sure everyone can see me and hear what I say clearly."

After receiving the order, the soldiers obeyed without a word.
