After seeing a talisman appear on the floating corpse of the giant snake, Bi Changsheng first used his Storage Ring to put the corpse away.
The talisman did not disappear along with the giant snake's corpse. It continued floating silently in the water. After studying it for quite some time, Bi Changsheng discovered that the talisman contained only a faint trace of spiritual energy and posed no threat to him. Only then did he reach out to touch it.
The talisman looked illusory, as though it had no physical form. However, when Bi Changsheng touched it, he could truly feel it beneath his fingers.
After confirming this, Bi Changsheng opened his hand and grabbed the talisman. The moment it entered his grasp, he felt that something not far away was attracting him—or rather, attracting the talisman in his hand.
After pondering for a while, Bi Changsheng decided to find out exactly what was attracting the talisman.
Following the direction he vaguely sensed from the talisman in his hand, Bi Changsheng walked through the water for some time before arriving at the cliff face along a riverbank. There, he saw the entrance to a cave, half exposed because the water level had dropped during the drought. The sensation summoning the talisman was coming from inside that cave.
Bi Changsheng did not waste time. He walked straight into the cave, only to discover that it was an underground karst cavern. There were also many traces of some enormous creature crawling through it—clearly left behind by the giant snake.
After walking all the way to the bottom of the cavern, Bi Changsheng used the faint light to see an ancient, badly dilapidated building. On its crumbling plaque, he could just barely make out the words "Nanlong Water Mansion."
The talisman that had guided
