After Taoism retreated from the Central and Southern Regions, the remaining three teachings—the Buddhist, Luo, and White Lotus Sects—were still being fairly cautious.
They were all recuperating, or rather, waiting and preparing for battle. None of them wanted to become the common target of the other two teachings.
Whoever was targeted first and surrounded by the other two would suffer an even greater disadvantage in this Kalpa Tribulation.

the Western Region exploded first!
First came the surging demon tide, and then half of the Western Region was submerged in Demonic Energy, turning into a massive demonic disaster.
It could be said that a tremendous calamity in the Western Buddhism's land of faith was unavoidable.
At worst, it might even affect the foundation of Buddhism's rule in the West.
How could White Lotus Holy Mother and Luo Lian miss such a rare opportunity?
While Buddhism was sick, they would first take its life.
The White Lotus Sect and Luo Cult launched large-scale attacks on the temples in Buddhism's lands of faith almost simultaneously.
They destroyed mountains and temples and hunted down the divine beings worshiped by Buddhism. Every immortal and god of the Western Buddhist Sect was surrounded and attacked by the two teachings.
In a one-on-one fight, Buddhism was not inferior to the Luo Cult or the White Lotus Sect in the slightest.
It was even far stronger than either of them individually.
But the Western Region was now suffering a demonic disaster, and large numbers of Buddhism's immortals and gods had been held back there to prevent the disaster from spreading.
