White
For several days in a row, nothing happened in the surroundings. Occasionally, demonic creatures came by, but Ge Changting, Old Monster Hu, and Xiao Sanniang dealt with them. Lu Xiaotian was spared quite a bit of trouble.
Several groups of White-Furred Zombies appeared from time to time. These White-Furred Zombies were not all humanoid zombies; some had once been demonic beasts such as rats, wolves, and leopards. After being killed by White-Furred Zombies and invaded by corpse qi, they too became members of the White-Furred Zombies under the nourishment of the tomb's yin qi. However, according to Old Monster Hu, these acquired White-Furred Zombies formed after death could only be considered relatively weak among zombies. The truly formidable White-Furred Zombies were, aside from those who had endured countless perils and continued growing, the offspring born from the union of exceptionally powerful White-Furred Zombie partners, their yin-baleful powers combining within them. Their bloodline was far purer than that of ordinary White-Furred Zombies bitten to death and later steeped in yin qi. Most other zombie demonic beasts were much the same.
If the Primordial Spirit within the Soul-Sealing Pearl wanted to seize the body of a White-Furred Zombie, choosing a humanoid one gave it a relatively higher chance of success. If it chose a beast, then with the Primordial Spirit's strength, success was practically impossible. Only the Primordial Spirits of cultivators who had been immensely powerful before their deaths—Golden Core cultivators, or even Nascent Soul ancestors—faced relatively fewer restrictions when possessing a body.
White-Furred Zombies did not appear very often, and sometimes they were wolf-type or leopard-type White-Furred Zombies. Once, a group of zombies transformed from humans appeared, but there were too many of them, so Lu Xiaotian did not choose to act.
