Monster Cores were not often found in first- or Second-Order Demon Beasts. Only exceptionally powerful Second-Order Demon Beasts, or Demon Beasts of the third order and above, regularly possessed Monster Cores. Dharma Beads were different, however. Their appearance was one in ten thousand, and throughout the entire cultivation world, there were only a handful of scattered rumors concerning them.
It was said that the Demon Beasts of the present day were different races descended from various ancient giant beasts and great demons. Though their bloodlines had thinned to the point of being negligible, they might still inexplicably awaken part of their abilities and form a Dharma Bead within their bodies. It was not that the stronger a Demon Beast was, the more likely it was to awaken one. The appearance of Dharma Beads followed no pattern whatsoever.
Nor was the awakened ability necessarily an immensely powerful innate spell. It might also be a useless, insignificant ability. After all, not every Demon Beast in ancient times had been powerful.
