Across the Wasteland, the wind howled.
Three figures streaked through the sky at high speed, Psionic Energy surging around them and trailing long white waves of air behind them, like three sharp blades carving striking gashes across the azure heavens.
The land below raced backward. Hills, rivers, and withered forests blurred into patches of indistinct color.
Dongfang Haoyue flew at the forefront, his robes snapping in the wind. His gaze crossed the distant horizon and settled on the faraway land shrouded in gray, his eyes deep and calm.
"Young Master."
At that moment, a flat-headed burly man beside him spoke.
The man was powerfully built, broad-shouldered and thick-backed. His nostrils flared twice, as though he were catching a scent in the air.
"I smell Stele Demons ahead. There aren't many, but they're approaching us. They must have discovered our trail."
His voice was steady and crisp, carrying the efficiency of someone long hardened by battle. "Should we go around them, or should I deal with them?"
"You go." Dongfang Haoyue withdrew his gaze, his tone indifferent. "Make it quick. Don't waste too much time."
"Yes."
The flat-headed man nodded heavily. His body shook, and dark yellow Psionic Energy erupted from within him like a volcanic explosion. His speed abruptly soared, and he shot forward like a cannonball, stamping rings of airwaves into the sky beneath his feet.
After the burly man left, Dongfang Haoyue and the green robe man beside him slowed their flight as well.
The green robe man had a handsome face and a slender build. He had remained silent, following half a step behind Dongfang Haoyue.
"Wei Dong."
At that moment, Dongfang Haoyue suddenly spoke, his tone as casual as if they were chatting about household matters. "How is your younger brother Wei Hai doing?"
Wei Dong
