Background / History

Ice Extreme Pass became strategically valuable as Pluto’s Millennium Mystic Ice, extreme-cold mineral veins, and rare cold-environment resources gained importance to the Empire’s psionic-energy and equipment industries. Its garrison commander position consequently became a contested military and political appointment. Qin Tian was transferred there as Major General and Garrison Commander under Bureau 7’s arrangements. 431

When Qin Tian arrived, the pass was an isolated ice fortress whose limited resources and hostile climate prevented meaningful development. His predecessor, Major General Hai Mo, had maintained its defenses for three years but admitted that he lacked the capacity to develop the territory. 433

Pluto’s Polar Night exposed the settlement’s central weakness: even advanced cold-weather gear and psionic weapons struggled in temperatures below minus 100 degrees, while ordinary people would freeze to death almost instantly. Alaya and the Luo Hou Family attempted to exploit the crisis by sending a force of two Golden Bloodlines, ten Silver Bloodlines, twelve Sixth-Order Psionic Users, and more than 300 elite troops while a separate group drove tens of thousands of Snow Beasts toward the pass. 461 463

The garrison later survived another major beast-tide siege under Qin Tian’s overall command and Zhou Ziming’s direction, with Bear, Xue Wuyang, and other elite combatants leading the defense. The battle brought low casualties and helped secure the White Tiger Corps’ reinforcement of the pass. 550

Cold Tree Development

The Cold Tree barrier secured a stable living environment and became the foundation for Pluto’s broader development. Moon Ghost Legion War

While Qin Tian was away, the Moon Ghost Legion attacked after seizing a Psionic Pool and severely injuring Bear and Tireda. Robert prevented the garrison from launching an unwinnable counterattack until Qin Tian returned. 595

Qin Tian then led Ice Extreme Pass forces and tens of thousands of Moro Warriors against the Moon Ghost Legion. The attackers were routed, and Qin Tian later wiped out the remaining force; Yagyu Juzaburo and Yagami Kyo were captured and bound with Soul Seals. 598 602 604

Armor Expansion and the Three Great Families’ Challenge

Ice Extreme Pass publicly displayed the strength of its armed commanders during challenges involving the Zhuang, Jia, and Graeme Families. Tireda decisively defeated the Seventh-Order Zhuang Zimo using his Artifact Soul domain, Barbarian War Runes, top-grade armor, and Decapitation Greatsword. 652

The pass won 500 additional slots for the Nine-Star Martial Tournament. Qin Tian subsequently agreed to sell Soldier Armor and General Armor to the Three Great Families in exchange for rare materials and favorable conditions, expanding Ice Extreme Pass’s industrial influence. 654

Armed Armor later proved decisive in Dongfang Haoyue’s duel with Ji Taiyan on Heaven Stele Mountain. The Golden Dragon Armor supplied through Qin Tian protected Haoyue from a powerful spear attack and enabled him to fight back despite severe injuries. 731

Orc Clan Disturbance

Members of the Orc Imperial Clans caused a disturbance inside Ice Extreme Pass. Qin Tian permitted their misconduct to establish a legitimate basis for intervention, then publicly defeated and severely wounded Raymond with a single strike. 642

Kessler surrendered and disassociated himself from Raymond’s group, while Qin Tian ordered the offending Orcs imprisoned and the Redflame Tigerfolk responsible for initiating the trouble executed. 642

Heaven Stele Secret Realm Expedition

Qin Tian led nearly 4,500 elite warriors, including the pass’s core military formations and leading personnel, into the Nine-Star Martial Tournament and the Heaven Stele Secret Realm. 657

The Pillar Stele Light granted breakthroughs to more than 4,000 Ice Extreme Pass warriors. Sixty-seven advanced from Fourth to Fifth Order, while nineteen—including Liang He and Konis—advanced from Fifth to Sixth Order; the light also secretly improved many participants’ bloodlines. 679

Qin Tian ordered the Pillar Stele’s effects kept absolutely secret, since disclosure could draw pressure from the Nine Great Sacred Bloodlines and Gold Families.
