The Eight Races were the Human Race, Beast Race, Dragon Race, Water Race, Winged Race, Insect Race, Spirit Race, and Devil Race. The entire Holy Light Continent was ruled by these eight races.
Of these eight intelligent races, the first seven lived in the Light Realm. Only the Devil Race occupied the entire Abyss Realm. Their natures were different, so the first seven races were sworn enemies of the Devil Race, locked in a fight to the death. Whenever they met, it was kill or be killed.
The Devil Race was constantly trying to break out of the Abyss Realm and seize the Light Realm. For countless years, the creatures of the Two Realms had waged unceasing war. More than ten times in history, the Devil Race had nearly seized the entire Light Realm. Countless lives had perished beneath the blades of the Devil Race. Thus, across the Light Realm, even two-year-old children would seethe with hatred at the mere mention of the Devil Race.
The Light Realm and the Abyss Realm were both on the Holy Light Continent, two sides of the same whole. Countless abyssal rifts connected them. The Devil Race passed through these rifts to ravage the Light Realm, while people from the Light Realm sometimes ventured down through them to train in the Abyss Realm.
