"You're back," the girl said, turning to face Bai Yang with a smile as bright as a flower upon hearing the movement behind her.

But what she said sounded like nothing but garbled nonsense to Bai Yang's ears.

Not knowing what to say, Bai Yang nodded with a smile and began to take in the wooden cabin.

The structure was simple: the floor was laid directly on the thick trunk of a large tree, the walls were pieced together from wooden planks, and the roof was also made of planks...

Yet what was remarkable was that the cabin didn't use a single nail; to Bai Yang, the whole thing was a marvel of structural assembly.

Most importantly, the entire cabin was extravagantly built from Red Sandalwood, and the faint scent of sandalwood in the air was refreshing and invigorating.

Three rooms were lined up in a row. The one on the right seemed to be a kitchen of sorts—a stove made of a wooden frame filled with mud was still drying, a large wooden bucket hollowed out from a single log was already filled with water, and, amazingly, pots, bowls, and utensils were all ready.

Bai Yang noticed there was another door at the back of the kitchen. Stepping out, he found a wooden trough against the wall, with a long bamboo pipe connecting to a large water tank suspended above the center of the village. Clear water gurgled into the trough, then flowed through another bamboo pipe into a "small room" nearby.

Opening the small room, he saw it was, well, a toilet—a brick-sized hole in the middle, with a bamboo pipe below leading to the village's "main sewer"...

"Pretty advanced setup, huh. Is this what they call survival wisdom?"

Bai Yang clicked his tongue in amazement at the treehouse's layout and arrangement.

Overall, he was quite satisfied with the cabin. The only flaw was that it was too rough—the splinters hadn't even been sanded down. What if he got pricked?

"These guys probably forgot I don't have their thick, tough skin..."

In the middle room, a few simple chairs were placed. In the bedroom, a thick layer of fur had already been spread on the bed—it was a complete tiger skin...

When Bai Yang saw the girl carrying up some firewood, squatting by the stove to start a fire and prepare to roast meat, he wondered if this would really burn the house down.

"The key point is there's only one bed, and that girl seems intent on sticking to me!"

Faced with this problem, Bai Yang scratched his head in frustration.

Not long after, he sat back like a lord while the girl served him a meal of roasted meat, opening his mouth to eat. There was no way to refuse—if he did, she'd cry...

After the meal, in the bedroom, they spent another few hours on language learning, which was utterly incomprehensible. Bai Yang memorized another dozen or so tongue-twisting pronunciations, then ruthlessly rejected her request to sleep with him and politely ushered her out the door.

But what left Bai Yang dumbfounded was that she seemed to have prepared for this. With tears in her eyes, like a wife denied her husband's bed, she pulled out an animal hide and spread it on the floor of the "living room"...

"You have your own home, don't you? At this rate, this single dog of mine won't be able to hold back."

Closing the door and leaning his back against it, Bai Yang muttered to himself.

He walked to the window and, through the leaves, looked up at the three moons in the sky. Even though he'd seen them many times, he was still awestruck. If he hadn't held back, he would've pulled out his phone to take a picture and post it online back on Earth.

"I'll figure out what kind of damn place this world is sooner or later."

Glancing once more at the three moons in the sky, Bai Yang closed the windows and doors and vanished from this world.

Back in the rented villa on Earth, Bai Yang scratched his head as he looked at the diesel-powered saw in the bedroom. He'd bought the thing but still hadn't used it...

As he stood there in a daze, his phone buzzed with a string of missed call notifications. Pulling it out, Bai Yang's scalp tingled—his Mom had called him at least thirty times!

"Mom, what's up?"

The moment the call connected, Bai Yang asked cautiously, like a scolded grandson. Partly he was worried something had happened at home, and partly because he hadn't answered thirty-some calls—he could only imagine how angry his Mom must be.

"You little brat, I'm giving you ten minutes to get your ass home."

Click...

Staring at the hung-up phone, Bai Yang was baffled. From his Mom's tone, it didn't seem like anything was wrong, but why was she rushing him home so urgently?

He rushed downstairs, hopped on his motorcycle, and sped home.

When he got there and opened the door, whoa—both his parents were home at this hour, which was rare. But the stern look on his Dad and Mom's faces, like they were holding a tribunal, made Bai Yang's heart tighten.

He quickly ran through his recent actions in his mind and, finding nothing he'd done that was outrageously wrong, felt a tiny bit relieved.

"Dad, Mom, what's all this about?"

"You sit right there," Zhen Guoping said, pointing at the sofa across from her.

Bai Yang sat down carefully and noticed his Dad subtly winking at him. He was completely relieved—nothing serious!

So he sat there silently, waiting for his Mom to continue.

"Son, tell me honestly—where did you get that greenish liquor?" Zhen Guoping stared at Bai Yang intently.

Bai Yang raised an eyebrow involuntarily and braced himself. "What do you mean? That... didn't I tell you? A classmate from the countryside sent me some Monkey Wine he happened to find in the mountains."

"Really?"

"Of course. I wouldn't lie to you of all people," Bai Yang said, almost ready to swear an oath. Then he tentatively asked, "Mom, why are you asking? Did something happen?"

"Something happen? Kid, I'm telling you, it's a big deal, hmph..."

A cold sweat broke out on Bai Yang's forehead. "What happened?"

"Listen up, kid. You'd better keep that wine business buried in your gut. Don't mention it to anyone, got it?"

"Wait, what's going on? Mom, you've got to explain clearly, or I'll be in the dark."

Zhen Guoping's expression softened, and she said with some pride, "Kid, I'll tell you straight. Today, I took that wine of yours to a grad student at the school lab for testing. Guess what the result was?"

Why does she have to drag it out at a time like this... Bai Yang's mind was in turmoil.

"The test results came back. They analyzed it and found it contains a large amount of beneficial compounds for the human body—amino acids..."

"Stop, Mom. Just say it in a way I can understand. All those terms give me a headache," Bai Yang said, decisively cutting off Zhen Guoping.

Shooting her son a glare, Zhen Guoping picked up a piece of paper from the coffee table and waved it. "In other words, the test results show that wine is something so good it's beyond good. If you take it long-term, it can gradually change a person's constitution. Basically, it's no different from what they call 'shedding the mortal shell and exchanging the bones.' Got it?"

That was way too straightforward...

Blinking, Bai Yang asked again, "So it's not poisonous?"

"It is poisonous, and highly so. There are over a dozen precious medicinal ingredients in it that are extremely nourishing. The human body can only handle so much. Drink too much, and it'll literally nourish you to death. Tell me, is that poisonous or not?" Zhen Guoping said with exasperation.

No wonder those wild men were so built. This was probably one of the reasons, Bai Yang mused inwardly, his eyes lighting up. Didn't this mean that if he took it long-term, he could shed his current body, which was as weak as a chick compared to those savages?

"So how much is safe to drink each time?" Bai Yang asked.

"It varies depending on your constitution. Once a day, conservatively no more than thirty milliliters per dose is the safe range. Son, I know what you're thinking, but I'm warning you: if you just drink it and don't exercise, you'll end up a fatso in a few days. Also, I don't care where you got it or how much you have. Keep half for yourself, and send the other half back to me pronto. Your dad and I are getting old too. It's not too much to ask for a little good stuff to supplement ourselves, is it?"

"Not at all," Bai Yang said, shaking his head vigorously, though he thought to himself, That last part was what you really wanted to say, wasn't it? If you wanted to drink it, why didn't you just say so? I could get you enough to drink like water every day. I'm your son; it's my duty to take care of you. No need to make such a big deal out of it.

Relieved, he asked, "So, Mom, what was that 'trouble' you mentioned earlier?"

"It's all because of that wine. Somehow, a few old professors at the school got wind of the test results, and now they're asking all over the place about where the wine came from. Those old-timers are trouble you don't want to mess with—every single one of them has a dozen titles to their name. I managed to brush them off on my end, but you'd better not go around blabbing about it yourself."

So that was it. No wonder Mom was so serious. Bai Yang wasn't stupid. This kind of thing shouldn't exist in this world in the first place, especially when it was so beneficial to the human body. Its development value was practically off the charts. It would be impossible not to attract attention.

Good thing Mom had the foresight to block it.

"I'm still small and weak. Better keep a low profile," Bai Yang warned himself.

His mom's business was done, but his wasn't. He turned his gaze to his father...
