No one objected. They followed Bai Yang to the ruined village. Ignoring the crowd nearby as they continued their pretense of investigating, Bai Yang swept the area with his Psychic Power and took in the entire village.
The village had been reduced to rubble. Falling snow was rapidly burying everything, though bloodstains and scattered bones could still be seen here and there.

Little Wolf, now just a foot long, gave a low growl, his eyes gleaming fiercely. Then he ran to Bai Yang's feet and frolicked, wagging his tail like a puppy.
"Young master, judging by the traces around here, a pack of wolves must have rampaged through this village," Zhao Shi reported after inspecting the area.
Looking into the distance, Bai Yang frowned. "The pack headed that way."
With that, he started toward the direction he'd indicated.
Zhao Shi and the others exchanged glances, then followed. They had no idea why their young master had suddenly taken such an interest in this matter.
