Little Cat got her temporary ID card without a hitch. Fox really knew how to get things done.
On the way back from the Public Security Bureau, Little Cat curiously held up the small card and asked, "Young master, what's this little card for? And what about my picture?"
"This is something everyone around here needs. A lot of the time, you can hardly take a step without it. Its biggest purpose is to record a person's identity information. It's kind of like your household registration over there. I take it Geduo Village doesn't have anything like that?" Bai Yang explained, though he soon wandered off topic.
"Record a person's identity information? Doesn't that mean no one has any secrets from certain people?" Little Cat exclaimed.
"Kitty, don't say that. You'll get censored." Bai Yang wiped away a bead of nonexistent cold sweat. He hadn't expected Little Cat to see right through it...
"What does 'censored' mean?" Little Cat had run into another unfamiliar word.
"Censorship is powerful. It's more terrifying than a Supreme powerhouse," Bai Yang said gravely.
Little Cat's heart jumped, and she didn't dare bring it up again. Something more powerful than a Supreme? Her young master's hometown was too dangerous! What exactly was this thing called censorship?
She didn't doubt Bai Yang's words for a moment. Even if he told her the sky was square, Little Cat would believe him...
They headed back at a leisurely pace. Fox had come up with a pretty bizarre identity for Little Cat: she'd grown up abroad, was an orphan, and had only recently immigrated back.
Was there really an overseas Chinese who couldn't speak a word of a foreign language? Her identity was riddled with holes, yet Fox had somehow managed to get her into the household registration system.
