The world fell utterly silent. A vast, bottomless pit stretched across the land, while violent energy continued to rampage through the void.
A bone bird with a three-hundred-meter wingspan emerged from the churning dark clouds in the distance. As it flew past the pit's edge, its body froze in midair, then inexplicably crumbled into dust and vanished from the world.
The pure energy left in the wake of the Tungsten Rod's eruption was silent and invisible. Its destructive power was terrifying beyond measure—enough to annihilate everything!
Time passed little by little. Ten minutes after the eruption, the world slowly settled. A rumble came from the enormous pit as water surged up from deep underground. The water level began to rise from the bottom. Perhaps before long this place would become a vast lake—or, no, a sea would be no exaggeration!
In the distance, a man knelt in midair amid the turbulent void.
He was in a wretched state. The tattered scraps of metal still clinging to him suggested that he had been wearing a magnificent suit of armor not long ago. Now, though, that once-glorious armor was worse than scrap metal.
He was the Azure Wolf King. All his former swagger was gone. His hair had vanished, and his body was a bloody mess, with bare white bones visible in many places. Even his True Dragon Battle Saber had grown dim, no longer seeming sacred and imposing as before.
Cough, cough, cough...
The Azure Wolf King coughed, spitting out lumps of black blood each time.
Golden light flowed over his body, and his ravaged flesh writhed as it slowly grew back. The sight made one's skin crawl.
Using his battle saber for support, he rose into the air. Deep hatred and fear flashed through his eyes as he surveyed the
