The Star Spirits listened with envy. The power of Space Alien Beasts was plain for all to see, but very few Alien Beast Tribes were suitable for Imperial cultivation and could become powerful combat units.

The resources needed to raise them were even more costly than those required for ships, which could be built using mature manufacturing systems. But once these beasts had grown, they were formidable fighters.

For example, under the specialist beast trainers in the Fire Phoenix Fleet, the Thunder Snakes received dedicated care and training. Adult Thunder Snakes that had completed the full training program could now hold their own against the Empire's pseudo-psionic Escort Ships.

At first glance, it might seem that raising Space Alien Beasts required so much manpower and resources that the Empire would be better off building a fleet. But even setting aside their advantage as versatile combat units in complex battle conditions, the beasts' growth potential alone was enough to prove their

worth.

Adult Thunder Snakes were merely the Fire Phoenix Fleet's most ordinary combat units. Elite Individuals that had reached the next stage of growth could generally match or surpass pseudo-psionic battlecruisers. Some particularly gifted Thunder Snakes, given the same resources and time, could

attain combat power comparable to a Vermilion Bird Titan!
