An Opportunity

According to records and documents kept by the Star Alliance, there were several causes of Falling Star, but they generally fell into three categories.

The first was when a star naturally fell after reaching the end of its lifespan. After such a star fell, it would often leave behind a black hole, large or small, in the void.

After countless years of development, devouring countless rays of starlight, stars, and more, this black hole might evolve into a star-domain core black hole like the Ying Sea Black Hole, the Penglai Black Hole, or the Yunxiao Black Hole.

Of course, more often, after existing in the void for many years, it would collapse and dissipate for one reason or another, never becoming a star-domain black hole.

The second kind of Falling Star happened when a star suffered a fatal attack and was destroyed.

Though stars were immensely powerful, able to scorch the void and destroy all things, they could also nurture life and bring forth all creation. Yet anything could happen in the boundless Void Star Sea, and all sorts of formidable beings could come into existence.

Across that vast, boundless expanse, given its sheer scale, it was only natural that some stars would be destroyed by terrifying beings in the void, top-tier Void Demon Races, or super-civilizations.

Liang Ji had even once seen a record among the materials kept at Kunlun Star Palace: more than a hundred thousand years ago, while opening up a star domain, the Star Alliance had deliberately destroyed several stars.

That star domain was the Quicksand Star Domain, a border region of the Star Alliance guarded by Ku Hai Star Palace.
