The Path to Merging Powers

All along, the combat strength of the vassals on Liang Ji's Natal Star had mainly come from three sources.

The first was the various inherited skills common to Star Lord cultivators of the Star Alliance, from talismans, artifacts, and formations to flying boats and starships, and later, star vessels and star fleets.

After hundreds of thousands of years of development, the Star Alliance had forged this universal, widely applicable path for Star Lord cultivators. It greatly enhanced the combat strength of their vassals, enabling them to fight Void Demon Race opponents of the same rank—and even battle across ranks.

This universal inheritance could be developed by any Star Lord cultivator in the Star Alliance, whether they came from a Star Palace, an academy, or a school. There were no particular conditions or restrictions on learning it, whether on their Natal Star or among their vassals.

The only difference was that some Star Lords' vassals crafted artifacts, formations, flying boats, and starships using only the basic models circulated within the Star Alliance, so their combat strength was limited. Others improved and upgraded the templates, making their vassals' artifacts, flying boats, and starships much more powerful.

Liang Ji and Peng Yue were examples of the latter. Their vassals had researched, modified, and improved the original templates for their flying boats and starships. They had not only strengthened their vassals' vessels, but also carried out all kinds of experiments aboard them, studying the power of their vassals' Natal Stars and searching for their own paths.

The second source was the inheritance they had learned at Kunlun Star Palace. This mainly consisted of three branches: the Deification List inheritance, the Mysterious Jade Nine Revolutions inheritance of the Jade Character Lineage, and the Nine Cauldrons Strength Building inheritance of the Golden Cauldron Lineage.
