Thoughts on Going Premium

During the pandemic, while staying at home, I wrote this first book of mine. I thought I wouldn't be able to keep at it, but I actually made it to going premium. Thinking about it still makes me happy.

Let's talk about this book!

Writing a book wasn't as easy as I'd imagined. At the start, I hadn't put much thought into the outline. It wasn't until I got stuck repeatedly in the middle and writing became extremely painful that I started seriously considering the later plot.

This book's results had never been very good. I had no experience when I started it. From signing the contract to completing the signing process took a week, and by the time it was done, the book had already reached over 90,000 words. Up to today, it had only gone through two rounds of recommendations. The bookmark numbers were terrible, and the read-through rate wasn't ideal either. I somehow endured until this premium release.

I'd only accumulated 3,500 bookmarks so far, and I might lose some after going premium.

Subscriptions are the foundation and lifeline of a book, especially for a new author like me.

But this book's bookmark data really wasn't good. If the bookmark-to-subscription ratio isn't good either, then there'll be no point considering whether things might improve later. I might not even qualify for the full-attendance bonus, so I still hope everyone can support it through subscriptions!
