After a brief moment of sorrow, Sasuke quickly grew serious.

"All right, let's talk business."

"How did you break free of Omnipotence's continual memory alteration and cognitive correction?"

That was what Sasuke cared about most. If Orochimaru and Itachi had really found a way to counter Omnipotence, that would be wonderful.

As long as he could break free of Omnipotence's restrictions, nothing would hold him back.

He could even charge straight into Konoha and kill Isshiki!

Unfortunately,

Orochimaru and Itachi's answer wasn't as encouraging as he'd hoped.

"So Kotoamatsukami's effect counteracted Omnipotence's ongoing influence?"

Sasuke remembered when he and Impure World Itachi had fought Dragon Kabuto. Back then, his brother had been saved once by Shisui's Kotoamatsukami.

He hadn't expected Kotoamatsukami to pull off another amazing feat. It really was the strongest Genjutsu!

As expected of Shisui!

Even after being dead for so long, his pair of Mangekyo Sharingan had given their side chance after chance to turn the tables.

It was just a shame.

Using Kotoamatsukami to counter Omnipotence was only a stopgap measure. It could only resist Omnipotence's ongoing corrections; it couldn't directly restore all their memories.

And Kotoamatsukami had its own significant limitations.

Impure World Shisui's pair of Mangekyo had already been used: the permanent Kotoamatsukami in his left eye had been used on Orochimaru himself, while the time-limited Kotoamatsukami in his right eye had been used on Impure World Itachi.

That meant they couldn't use this method again to resolve anyone else's memory problems.

"Looks like we can't awaken anyone else?"

Sasuke felt a little regretful. Even awakening one more comrade under Omnipotence's control would have helped.

"No, there's another way."

Orochimaru spoke, though it wasn't his main body, but one of his clones.

His main body was still over there, excitedly licking the trembling Dimon.
