People always grew through experience.
Ian was no exception.
Ever since his visit to Diagon Alley, he had gained different experiences and knowledge. So when Pandora took the initiative to speak, he seamlessly pulled out a thick stack of contracts.
"Whenever I find something good, I think of you first, my friend. Let's sign an Adventure Contract. In my era, it's the coolest essential for any adventure."
Ian's smile might not have looked devious, but he was indeed taking advantage of Pandora having died too early and surely not knowing much about current trends in the wizarding world.
And sure enough.
The moment he heard it was an essential contract for adventuring, complete with the illegally overblown word "coolest," Pandora's bright eyes immediately gleamed even more brilliantly.
"Of course. An Adventure Contract—I understand. Of course I understand." Pandora was obviously pretending to understand. After taking Ian's contract, he only glanced through it a few times before immediately signing his name.
He did not hesitate much at all. Granted, the name Pandora signed was most likely not his true name, but Ian's contract did not contain any magic.
As long as Pandora acknowledged its terms and contents, that was enough. After all, his good brother Pandora cared greatly about his pride. He would never do something as shameless as Ian, like refusing to honor an agreement.
"When do we leave?"
After grandly signing his name, Pandora was already eager to set sail. He had somehow even produced an old-fashioned backpack. It could only be said that he truly loved adventures—he looked ready to abandon Ariana, his "disciple," halfway through her sword practice.
"Can I come too?"
Ariana did not think there was any problem with it. Instead, she looked at Ian with a hint of anticipation. How should one put it?
