The entire Castle in the Sky shook and trembled.
As Titans bored out from the depths beneath the city one after another, as though they had been imprisoned there for countless years, the Castle in the Sky seemed to be undergoing a prolonged earthquake.
The stone slabs beneath Ian's feet cracked with cobweb-like fissures. From the distant city center came deafening sounds of collapse, as if some ancient shackles had been forcibly torn apart.
Giants were being released one after another. Deep, ancient roars echoed out—roars of primordial giants, roars of Titans finally seeing daylight again after ten thousand years of imprisonment.
"Uh... this really is mythology brought to life."
Ian's gaze remained fixed on the giants breaking through the earth.
Their bodies were enormous, their muscles knotted, their skin seemingly forged from stone and metal. Every step they took made the entire Castle in the Sky tremble violently.
Without exception.
Every giant bore the remnants of shackles and chains.
Ian was somewhat curious about this.
But he was not panicked.
He calmly raised his wand.
And cast a spell on his eyes.
"Piercing Vision!"
Ian had no idea what purpose the inventor of this spell had originally intended it for. He had merely learned this x-ray spell in the Hogwarts library.
Unlike ordinary x-ray charms.
The advantage of this spell was that it allowed him to see through only what he wished to see through. He could even choose how many layers to penetrate. Still, as a respectable person, this was Ian's first time using it outside of practice.
His vision pierced through the bricks and tiles beneath the ground. A faint golden light flowed through his pupils as his gaze passed through thick layers of rock and several simple Magic Barriers, reaching deep underground.
Then he looked below.
