Not just Ian.

All the Young Wizards in the classroom were a little bewildered. They had no idea why Professor McGonagall had suddenly gotten angry. Wasn't it just a cloud of green smoke?

"Before class began, I believe I reminded you that caution is the foremost principle when studying Transfiguration." Professor McGonagall glared at Ian with eyes that seemed ready to spit fire.

"But clearly, Mr. Prince, you did not firmly remember that." The Older Cat Girl's stern face radiated an exceptionally severe presence.

Making Ian instinctively shrink his neck.

"Sorry, Professor. I simply had a sudden idea and wanted to try something." Ian felt that he had actually been quite cautious. He had merely attempted to turn a matchstick into mist-like Gillywater.

He had even suppressed his urge to turn it into gaseous Love Potion.

Was that not cautious enough?

Besides.

The sudden attempt had not succeeded. Ian could tell that while the smoke did indeed have the color of Gillywater, it did not possess the unique effects of a potion.

Perhaps his current Transfiguration level was still too low?

Transfiguration (Level 3) 6/800

After Professor McGonagall's guidance and his own realization just now, Ian's Transfiguration had made an astonishing leap. That was why he had been able to transform the smoke.

It was just that.

Level-three Transfiguration clearly could not support Ian's wild ideas. Things that might contain magical traces were difficult to transform, and he did not know whether Extraordinary Traits and Legendary Traits could make up for that.

"Did you consider what would happen if another Young Wizard accidentally inhaled your smoke?" Professor McGonagall's expression eased ever so slightly after hearing Ian apologize.

But she was still extremely serious.

"They would be harmed... if it went out of control."

Ian gave a concise answer.
