"Whenever there's a leap year, I'll even give you one day off. That alone proves how kind-hearted I am!" Ian's righteous threat left Peeves on the verge of tears.

"I understand. I won't tell on you. I definitely won't tell anyone." Peeves had never been a good student, but that did not mean he had never seen what one was supposed to look like.

"Very good. I hope we can both be honest and trustworthy." Ian nodded and lowered his wand. The suspicion in his heart had now been completely confirmed.

The boundaries between the living and the dead, even between humans and spirits, did not seem to work on him. Perhaps it had something to do with his privilege of freely entering and leaving the Misty Illusion.
