There's Nothing Wrong with Being Realistic

"I—don't—know—"

Fudge said irritably, looking around as though hoping someone would tell him what to do.

When no one seemed inclined to offer him any advice, he said, "Fine—Dawlish! Williamson! Go down and take a look at the Department of Mysteries. Dumbledore, you—you must tell me exactly what—what happened to the Magic Brothers Fountain?"

He added in a complaining tone, staring at the floor around them, which was littered with the shattered remains of wizard and centaur statues.

"We can discuss it once I have sent Harry back to Hogwarts."

"Harry—Harry Potter?"

Fudge turned to stare at Harry, who was still standing against the wall beside the fallen statue that had protected him throughout Dumbledore's battle with Voldemort.

"He—he's here?"

Fudge asked, glaring at Harry. "Why—what exactly is going on?"

"I will explain everything," Dumbledore said, "after Harry has returned to school."

He stepped away from the pool and walked over to the golden wizard's head. Pointing his wand at it, he silently said, "Mentos."

The head glowed blue and vibrated against the floor with a loud sound. A few seconds later, it was motionless again.

"I see what you're doing, Dumbledore!"

Fudge said as Dumbledore picked up the head and carried it back to Harry. "You were not authorized to use a Portkey! You cannot openly do that right in front of the Ministry of Magic, you—you—"

Dumbledore gave Fudge an imperious look over the top of his half-moon spectacles, and Fudge immediately began to stammer.

"You will issue an order for Dolores Umbridge to leave Hogwarts."

Dumbledore said, "You will tell your Aurors to stop investigating my Care of Magical Creatures teacher and let him return to work.

"I am going to give you..."

Dumbledore took a watch with twelve hands from his pocket and glanced at it.
