Jon saw a dazzling ocean.
It was strange. He should not have been seeing such a scene, because he was in the divine graveyard of the Sumerian Civilization, and this pantheon that had risen from Mesopotamia did not possess any particularly profound understanding of the ocean.
But he quickly realized that this was not the home ground of the Sumerian Civilization.
Because the ocean before him was frozen over—empty and boundless.
That pale color seemed to fill the entire space. Even at the limits of his perception, there was still nothing but thick ice.
This was the Arctic.
And it was also his fate.
When he chose such a difficult path, his fate had begun to be frozen and imprisoned by the world itself. Even the deal he had reached with the World Will was of no use.
Because the World Will was only will; it had no way to interfere with the workings of the world itself.
As for his advancement, the World Will could only add icing to the cake after he succeeded. It could not offer timely aid in his hour of need.
There was nothing to be done about that. He could only rely on himself to change the situation before him.
"Now, leave it to me."
Jon closed his eyes, but his will began to leave his body. The black Mysterious Bird spread its wings and rose into the sky.
As the Mysterious Bird stretched its body through the air, raised its head, and cried out, the ice before him began to crack apart layer by layer. Countless rules that should have been controlled by gods burst forth from the ice, turning into chain-like forms that slowly rose upward.
A thunderous crashing echoed throughout the entire space.
Then the seed in Jon's hand appeared.
