Jon and Joanne investigated Harry Potter’s life in Little Whinging while Joanne developed a book about him, and Jon’s encounter with the python stirred the Law Imprint Helga had given him. After Hagrid brought Harry to the wizarding world, Jon parted from Joanne and traveled to seek ingredients for the Bloodline Purification Potion, uncertain about his past and future.

• Jon learned from Anthony that fighting had begun in Eastern Europe, while Scaly and Fren found signs of suspected dark wizards in France, and Helga asked Stephen to keep a secret.
• Helga urged Stephen to help prepare for Voldemort’s return, suggested he build a power base through his Club, and asked him to become guardian of the Hufflepuff family as her soul changed with the castle’s evolution.

• Jon discovered that Salazar Slytherin’s blood had entered the original formula, added his own blood, and successfully brewed the potion after several failed attempts.
• Jon drank the potion in a sealed cellar and spent half a month unconscious as his body changed and his magical power returned.
• Grindelwald appeared during the Dark Forest’s Full Moon Pilgrimage, played Moonlight Sonata, and returned to Nurmengard after urging Ilsa to let the young ones venture forth.
• Jon returned to his family, received Dumbledore’s invitation for tea, and arranged for Kaledi and Rank to help with his plans before setting off for Hogwarts.
• Jon reunited with his friends aboard the Hogwarts Express, attended the Sorting Ceremony, and listened as Dumbledore warned students about the Forbidden Forest and a dangerous corridor.

Jon organized a secret effort to monitor Harry and learned the Deconstruction Method from Snape, using it to combine his spells and sense Quirrell and Voldemort. He met Perenelle Flamel, received a pocket watch for the Fat Friar, and returned to Hogwarts to find the ghost waiting.
