Background

Yun Zishan entered the Cloud Heaven Sword Sect three hundred years ago. Gifted with exceptional talent, she reached the late Mahayana Stage after 280 years of cultivation and became a leading candidate for the next Sect Master position. Her principal rivals include Dan Peak Master Sun Kai and Jade Maiden Peak Master Shi Xuanfei. 5

Her master, Qingxia Fairy, previously lost a Sect Master election to Lei Lifeng. Yun Zishan’s own candidacy is driven less by personal ambition than by her desire to fulfill Qingxia Fairy’s unresolved wish and settle a three-century-long fixation. 22

She accepts his demands for a renovated interrogation room and privacy during the process because dismantling the spy network could secure an advantage in the Sect Master election. 5
