Though he occupies the hall’s senior disciple position, his resources are limited: his Core Formation stipend is ten Spirit Stones a month, much of which he spends on Enlightenment Incense and cultivation supplies. 2

He became a regular customer and close friend of Myriad Things Come owner Yang Ning. Qiao Bin believes the shop’s unusual goods can substantially accelerate cultivation, leading him to seek essential oil on credit and even offer the Law Enforcement Hall’s Jade Waist Token as collateral. 2

Qiao Bin usually wears a white robe and carries himself with formal, immortal-like poise while on duty or riding his flying sword. In less polished moments, he is described as having an honest round face, small eyes, and a mole at the corner of his mouth. 3 79 116

Outside it, he is approachable, anxious, and often embarrassingly earnest around Yang Ning, Dong Xiaojie, and potential cultivation partners. 6 104 115

He is tactful, thorough, and known for maintaining harmonious relations throughout the hall. His loyalty can also override his judgment: he disclosed confidential information about a captured Demonic Cult agent to Yang Ning because he trusted him as a close friend. 3 53

Qiao Bin initially sought Yang Ning’s help to extract information from a captured Demonic Cult agent, believing that dismantling the spy network could secure Yun Zishan’s standing in the contest for the next Sect Master. He rushed to obtain Yun Zishan’s approval, escorted Yang Ning through Zhaoyu Tower, and formally ordered Law Enforcement Hall disciples to cooperate with the interrogation effort. 4 6

His trust in Yang Ning also becomes an intelligence vulnerability. After receiving essential oil, Qiao Bin revealed that a Dan Peak disciple had been captured with a Demonic Cult talisman embedded in his heart; Yang Ning subsequently transmitted that intelligence to the Demonic Cult. 3

Law Enforcement Hall Reputation Campaign

After the mole operation, Yang Ning asked Qiao Bin to inflate the captured spies’ alleged plots and present the Law Enforcement Hall as the sect’s decisive protector. Though hesitant, Qiao Bin understood the political value of the scheme and orchestrated its circulation through the Incense Burning Room. 31 32

When another undercover agent died, Qiao Bin used his investigative ability to establish the time of death. He later uncovered the breadth of Jade Maiden Peak’s informal intelligence-gathering operation and urgently reported its implications to Yun Zishan. 54 74 75

Qiao Bin’s wish for a cultivation partner becomes known shortly before his August 10 birthday. Yang Ning and Dong Xiaojie arranged a blind-date event with thirty-three Jade Maiden Peak outer disciples, prompting Qiao Bin to react with stunned excitement. 72 104

The event went badly. Qiao Bin was severely nervous, struggled with basic conversation, and refused to hide his lack of savings or heavy cultivation expenses.
