Quirrell being blasted away by an Alchemy Bomb did not affect the Quidditch match. Although a Hogwarts professor being openly attacked was certainly a serious matter, it was not enough for wizards to interrupt an ongoing Quidditch match.
At the High Table, Professor Snape stopped reciting the counter-curse. His eyes continuously swept over the surroundings, searching for any possible danger.
In Professor Snape's view, the Alchemy Bomb explosion had been a premeditated attack. Though the target was no good person, an attack without the slightest clue was a major threat to Hogwarts. After all, Quirrell had been attacked today; tomorrow, it could be any professor or student!
Professor Snape's gaze was full of vigilance. He even left the High Table and began patrolling the stands, carrying out his duty as a professor.
Among the Gryffindors, Hermione stared at Irina in disbelief. "Have you gone mad? You actually used an Explosion Charm to attack a professor?! And Professor Snape was clearly the one casting a curse, so why did you attack Professor Quirrell?!"
Hermione had not clearly seen what happened at the High Table. But Irina's actions, coupled with the timing of the explosion, left her no choice but to assume that Irina had done it.
Irina blinked her large ice-blue eyes innocently. "Hermione, I didn't do it. Quirrell exploded the moment I got there! It even gave me a fright!"
As she spoke, Irina put on an aggrieved expression.
Hermione realized that she had misunderstood Irina. She hurriedly hugged her and apologized again and again.
On the Quidditch pitch, Harry regained control of the Nimbus 2000 and sent it diving toward the ground. He was almost about to crash into it face-first.
People saw Harry cover his mouth with one hand, as though he were about to vomit.
