Linley nodded slightly and looked at Irina. "How's your Wandless Magic research coming along?"
Irina raised her left hand, and an icy-blue beam shot from her palm, turning the snowball Fred had just packed in his hand into an ice ball.
"After you taught me the techniques for Wandless Magic that day, Rory, I successfully cast the Glacier Spell and Aguamenti without a wand. Besides that, following the conversion techniques you mentioned, I developed a Snowmaking Spell that falls somewhere between Aguamenti and the Glacier Spell!"
As Irina spoke, she waved her left hand again. A great deal of snow condensed out of thin air, forming an exquisite snowball in her hand.
Irina handed the snowball to Fred, making up for the loss of his own snowball, which had turned into an ice ball.
But unexpectedly, Fred took the snowball and threw it straight into Irina's face before bursting into laughter and running away.
Irina was instantly left standing there in a daze.
When Irina finally came to her senses, she wiped the snow from her face. A clear "#" symbol appeared on her forehead.
"That guy Fred... sorry you had to see that, Rory... Um, Rory, I have some things to take care of, so I'll be going now!"
Irina did her best to maintain her original smile.
Smile, smile, I absolutely have to keep up appearances!
Irina screamed inwardly.
Linley nodded, signaling that she could go do her own thing.
Irina immediately drew her Wand and chased after Fred.
To hell with it, I'll just give up on my image if I have to!
With a wave of her Wand, Irina sent three Glacier Spells flying through the air in succession, freezing the unprepared Fred in place.
Before long, Fred's miserable wails drifted over from the distance.
