Harry turned his head away, refusing to look into the other's eyes, yet his gaze gradually grew firm. He softly said, "I can do it, and flawlessly at that..."
At this, "Harry" laughed again. He looked so relieved, yet his tone was utterly certain.
"Of course you can. Your good luck will surely help you at exactly the right moment. The Golden Snitch Dumbledore left you, and the Elder Wand confiscated by the Ministry of Magic... It's that simple, isn't it?"
"Harry" said with a soft chuckle.
Harry looked over in confusion. He did not understand what that decorative Golden Snitch, or the Elder Wand that the Ministry of Magic had taken away long ago, had to do with any of this.
"Harry's" words struck him as utterly baffling, disconnected from what had come before.
But "Harry" had no intention of explaining. He continued, "That way, your companion can obtain the right to kill Voldemort, while you can pull yourself free from that endless vortex and gain the release you should have received long ago."
"In truth, this isn't the first time... This should have been the method you were best at, and the one you desired most. This farce began with a 'death,' and it will end with a 'death.'"
"So... that prophecy, Trelawney's prophecy, chose you because of this?"
"Harry" looked calmly at Harry as he spoke.
Harry gave a self-mocking smile. "The prophecy chose someone born as July came to an end. It had nothing to do with any particular person. The one who chose me was always Voldemort himself..."
"Harry's" expression softened, and the faint sense of detachment around him vanished.
He softly asked, "It's been hard, hasn't it?"
Harry looked at "him" strangely, then gave a dry laugh. "You suddenly became very considerate. Did you
