History

Gray Eagle Territory originally had two Arrow Towers behind its walls. One had collapsed into debris; the other retained its bluestone foundation but had rotten, moss-covered wooden walls. Because only the latter could still be counted as an Arrow Tower, the territory panel listed a single Black Iron Grade tower 3 45.

With the next Bloody Day approaching, Loren accepted a quest to restore the towers to usability. Its reward was an Elemental Tower construction blueprint 34. He made the repairs a priority for the new City Hall, appointed three workers with prior tower-and-wall construction experience as temporary supervisors, and assigned additional labor to the project 39 43 44 46. The construction department estimated seven days to repair the surviving tower with 50 workers, versus fifteen days to rebuild the collapsed one; Loren chose to repair the survivor first 46.

The repaired tower was completed by Chapter 50, fulfilling the quest and awarding Loren the blueprint. He then spent 1,000 Soul Power to upgrade it to Bronze Grade and placed Kool in charge of its operation 50.

Appearance

The tower changed substantially through repair and upgrade 45 50:

• Original structure: Approximately six meters tall, with a bluestone foundation and a three-level hardwood frame. The upper two levels had firing holes; the bottom stored arrows, crossbows, and other supplies 45.
• After repair: Seven meters tall, with sturdy gray-wood walls and firing holes on all four sides 50.
• After Bronze Grade upgrade: Eight meters tall, with more orderly firing holes and glowing bronze-hued patterns across its outer walls. It emits magical fluctuations 50.

Firing Positions

• The original upper two floors could hold 15 combatants each, for a total of 30 46.
• The original design had only one attack direction, limited capacity, and insufficient strength to withstand siege-weapon bombardment 46.
• Reconstruction added firing holes to the front, back, left, and right. Its gray-wood exterior could withstand attacks from less powerful siege crossbows 50.

Gale Force

The Bronze Grade upgrade grants a persistent benefit to troops firing from inside the tower 50.

• Increases range by 20% 50.
• Increases the speed of arrows, javelins, crossbow bolts, darts, and other projectiles by 30% 50.
• Takes effect when troops enter the tower; it does not require a Spellcaster to reapply it 50.
